hey guys i have a dilemma hope u guys can help me.

When i come back from work everyday, about 7-8pm, i will take a shower right away. So I will wash my face with facial cleanser. And then I will slack a while, watch some tv etc, until i go to sleep at about 10-11pm. Nw I face this dilemma, should I wash my face again before I tone and apply my skincare products before I sleep? Or should I just go ahead and apply toner followed by skincare products on my face before my sleep (skipping the cleansing) ?

Thanks in advance!

Hi facial experts! I need recommendations for washing face. But I have both oily and dry skin. An example is day 1 I have oily skin, then day 2 I still have oily skin but after I wash my face and dry up, most parts of my face will peel. Then I have to use a towel to scrub off the dead skin. Any experts can help me?

I supposed your skin is combi type then? does your nose and forehead get oily easily and other parts such as cheeks can get dry? If so, i suggest to look for products suitable for combi type first.

might also be because of his cleanser or scrub hes using... if its a scrub, stop using it, scrubs are bad for the skin imo. if its a cleanser, might be the cleanser's too harsh, what are u using?

oily skin is usually because deep under, ur skin is damn dry which causes it to be oily on the surface

Yes, my nose and forehead get really oily whether it is in the day or night. Do u have any recommendations for facial wash?

I am currently using body shop seaweed facial wash. Even if I don't wash my face with facial wash, my skin will peel.

is it ok to wash once when i shower and then right before sleeping, wash again? reason is I would only brush my teeth right before going to bed, and that would wash away some of my facial care products if i applied it before then...

depending if ur cleanser is gentle enough.. but cleansing twice a day would be the most ideal liao unless ur skin has specific needs.

if like that.. u mean u go w/o moisturiser for that few hours after cleansing ah? cuz ur supposed to moisturise immediately after cleansing leh, not good for ur skin if u dont (again it depends on ur cleanser lo.. most cleansers people use strips alot of moisture from the skin cuz of the alcohol content)

best would be to shower, brush teeth then wash ur face. otherwise can try just splashing with water for the 3rd time of cleansing before applying ur skincare products

I haven't tried using moisturizer. So my face is actually dry which causes the skin to peel and turn oily?
eh moisturiser is actually a must for skin care... yes its a possibility. dont just anyhow buy 1 moisturiser, look at the ingredients list

for ref:
http://www.skincare-news.com/a-2628-Alcohol_is_A-OK_for_Your_Skin.aspx

http://www.skincare-advice.info/ingredients-to-avoid-in-skin-care-products/

for starters, u can give Hada Labo a try, or neutrogena moisturiser (the one for combi skin)

Has anyone here done IPL/Laser on their face? Are they good for rough pitted skin? These treatments are expensive. Trying to find out whether they're worth doing.

I think there are better lasers like fraxel or something.. It's a newer technology and better results.
