Anyone knows what are the different types of laser treatment for acne scars?

Just went for a trial fractional laser, took almost an hour
Was afterwards quoted almost 1.3k for 8 sessions

Understand the are some more expensive and more effective treatments by doctors..
eg national skin centre

Anyone can share their laser experience?

$1.3k for 8 sessions quite cheap leh.... which clinic and which type of fractional laser????

Heard the latest fractional laser is called Edge fractional CO2 laser..... think is few hundreds dollar per session.....

If super rich, can try Infini RF micro needling.... $2550 per session.... safer and lower risk than laser.....

Or intracel RF micro needling, few hundreds dollar per session....

Clariancy
Heard it's only for that day, normally is 388/session
But I think it's just their sales pitch

Those grid like laser, but it's not obvious on my face..only see some redness after the session

Heard it's fractional but not sure how it compares to others

think if something is really effective, don't need so many sessions one

Some only require 5-10 sessions?
But can cost up to several thousands

I guess the efficacy depends on whats your skin type and what type of laser treatment you are looking for. I dont know who actually needs 40 sessions for themselves but a 20 session course of treatment I can certainly use up. Its like buying in bulk so you get a better deal. I see my treatments more so for maintenance and my skin has pigmentation and the treatments help.

The staff explained that the 40 session package is good for friends who want to get the best deal by sharing as it works out the best on a per treatment basis.

As for other types of treatments, there are many! Just like there are may different types of laser and settings on each of the laser. The fractional lasers that have been mentioned are a more powerful laser treatment that actually removes a layer of skin and there is downtime associated with it due to the redness. You will probably be advised not to go anywhere near the sun or you will be susceptible to pigmentation. It takes longer to do and will be more painful. I wouldnt go for any treatment like this if I didnt need it because I cant stay away from the sun, but for some this treatment might be more appropriate for their skin condition than a regular laser facial which is more mild.

Carbon Laser may be more suitable for an oilier skin type and mild acne. I have tried this too when I needed it.

Intracel RF is another treatment mentioned. It is more expensive than laser and you do it in longer intervals. It uses Radio Frequency to treat acne scars, pores and wrinkles and can be done through microneedles or without the microneedles. Basically the idea is that the RF is delivered into the skin through the needles a it stimulates the collagen. I've not tried because I dont need to but I know people who have and found it to be effective for their skin condition.

So for me the approach is little and often for maintenance. Others may need more powerful and more expensive but with a longer interval.

The reason why I like Gangnam Laser is that I have never felt pressured into getting a more expensive treatment that I dont need so I trust the doctors there. My friends also go there and renew packages because it works for them too.

The best advice I can give is that you need to see the doctor for his opinion on the most appropriate way to treat your concerns regarding you skin. Not everyone has the same skin condition and hence a tailored treatment plan will be best.

Regarding seeing the doctor for his opinion on treatment, are you referring to national skin ctr or?

hi, how do you share the session?

What I did was to split the cost of 40 with some friends
they set up 10 under my name and 10 under my 3 other friends names
actually no need to even go together with your friends. Its possible for one person to pay first and you tell them who you are sharing with and they will sort out in their system.
Otherwise is difficult to coordinate 4 of us to be there at the same time. Actually will almost never happen so it is good that they accomodate this for us

You might need a course of at least 10 to remove it. Depends on how dark and how much you have. I had some stubborn spots that took a few sessions to go away

If your problem is not serious, then buy a derma pen and DIY at home..... only about $100 for the derma pen with 20 - 30 pcs of replacement needles kit.....
I saw those roller going for $10 each

Also seen those electric dermapen going at $150 (13 refills)

Not sure which to go for, any suggestions?
Can sic the one you mentioned?

for rollers, you might need to get different sizes and different length of needles for different areas and purposes.....

for derma pen, the length of needles is adjustable.... you can target small area better and you can avoid acne, mole or whatever easier too....

one treatment (0.5mm) every 4 to 6 weeks....
doing more times may actually delay your healing....

go qoo10 find... got wired and wireless....
