Benzoyl Peroxide is 1 of the most effective to treat acne... but it is not very useful for those large cyst type. If got you many small pimples like the pic or whiteheads, then it is very good. Neutrogena onthespot is BP too, but maybe because of branding it is more ex.

I'm looking for a new cheapo facial wash... Nugeno, Biore etc any recommendation? For combination/oily skin.

Hey guys, first time applying BP and moisturizer. After applying the moisturizer, my face seems to be 'wet', or should I say looks oily. Is that suppose to be like that? It looks really weird to the extent that I only apply it when I am not planning to go out, like during the night.

It's an oil-free antioxidant moisturizer.

Those currently using BP to treat acne, what moisturizer do you guys suggest? Anyone tried the regimen from acne.org before? Might wanna give it a shot if my current regimen fails.

BP worked for me.

I used my normal moisturizer at that time... sometimes I don't use at all.
If you want something gentle, can try aloe vera gel.
Both Benzac BP 2.5% and aloe vera gel can be purchased from guardian.

Are you the above stated blog owner? If so, many times do you apply per day? I am like 2 weeks into using Benzac BP, with some days in between not applying. Can't seems to see effect of it instead, whiteheads are still surfacing. :(

Thanks for the suggestion, will get one to try out. Will it 'wet' the face as described on my previous post?

Yup, it's my blog.

Firstly, BP regimen may work for some and not for others.
It's all about trial and error.
Before BP, I tried organic apple cider, numerous off the shelf products etc.

Does BP dry up any of your acne or not? If there's no visible improvement at all then maybe it just ain't the product for you.

Also, do you cleanse your face daily and follow the regimen properly?

Aloe vera gel may make your face appear wet, so if you don't like that feeling.
Maybe you can skip that. And try gel based moisturizers that are lightweight in texture and get absorbed by the skin really quick.

Guys who use peel-off masks do remember to tear from bottom up else you'll end up with saggy skin in time to come - like a bulldog ;)

One of the best I used before is Kose, and it's quite cheap (IIRC, S$30++) ... - http://www.kose-usa.com/products.asp?view=shop&collection=sei&category=sei&product=FMOY

Some review - This is not me, and credits to the blog owner...

Just wanna share what i am using... i have oily skin and easy to have a breakout.

one friend told me about this facial wash which he thinks is effective. I tried and recommended to a few of my friends, all tried and are still using it (except for one).

The catch is here, it cost $99 per tube (sometimes they have 20% off promo so, i normally buy in bulk when it happens). But seeing how me and my friends all continued using it despite the high price tells you how effective it is in preventing pimples.

oh here's the brand:
josephine - celcure, fresh foam.

have to disclaimer first, it works well for all 5 of us (4 friends and me) but 1 of them (the 6th person) didnt like it. so it may or may not suit you.

BP regimen acne.org also got. it's very good for preventing pimples but depend on your skin. best is use bp2.5%. commercial ones always make 5/10% not good cause it will cause skin irritation... everynight just spread evenly across the face. using 2.5% means if you dont feel like it's working, can apply more...

I last time also always kena acne =( very sad never properly control. now by face like mark lee, even derma tell me no cure le :'( clean but filled with scars, so sad.

Yeah, it does dry my face infact it does peel the skin a little. I wash my face with cleanser twice and apply BP 2.5% once at night daily. Had yet to see any significant improvement. Maybe I am applied too less BP.
