Hi Guys, I have a few questions to ask you gurus.

Note: I have dry-normal skin (leaning closer to dry)

1) What are the normal treatments one would do when people with my skin type go to a facial salon monthly?

I don't have any acne, pimple or spots problems, just dry skin. Yesterday when I tried for the first time at faceofman (@roxysq), I did microdermabrasion > blackheads > ampoule > mask, total damage is $88. As I haven't had facial for ages and I don't use any facial product, I thought the treatments I had was effective, the microdermabrasion really remove dead skin cells and my face feel smoother, black heads lesser.

2) What brand and type of skin care products I should go for as far as cleanser, toner and moisturizer is concerned?

The lady at faceofman advise that I should go for purifying/hydrating types but I don't know which brand to go for. When I research online, cream-based lotion is recommended for dry skin. Faceofmen actually do sell them but they are gel-based. My budget is ~$20-$40 a bottle, and I don't mind different brands as long as they work together.

Appreciate any advise. If you are interested to know about my experience with faceofman, also feel free to ask.

hi guys, i have been getting sudden serious acne breakout for the past one and a a half months, and it is really bothering me because i have never gotten such serious breakouts. pimples leave red and brown marks and worst of all, scars. I have been taking isotretinoin for about a month now, (doc gave 10mg to start off)but i feel that my condition is not exactly getting better. I'm 21 this year and this sudden breakout in acne confuses me because i never used to have such bad cases of acne breakouts.

Would appreciate it if anyone can recommend me a derm or a skin doctor, or even a possible reason why i'm experiencing these breakouts. Thanks!

Hello, can you recommend me any product for dark eye circles? I brought products such as Institut Esthederm and Faceshop dark eye cream but they do not seem to help at all.

Hey... I suddenly got terrible breakouts at 27-28.. adult acne is worse than puberty ones. I also saw doctors back then, it didn't work and it got worse. It took me 2 yrs to completely recovered. I find that oral med made the acne lumpy, the head didn't come out, it just stay there not going away.
I'm not sure whether it will work for you, I use a papulex, the treatment cream is said to isolate the bacteria from forming acne, for the wash, i use bionike thiosoap (a kind of sulfur cleanser, leave on the face for a while before washing off, can be used for body also).

Google bionike thiosoap to find out more (avail in guardian)
Papulex: Clinically Demonstrated Active Ingredients To Treat Acne | Papulex™ Asia (avail in some clinics and prof beauty salons)

Ditto. More rest is needed. Go exercise to de stress.

Can put cold cucumber to soothe the eyes, even if doesnt work feel very shiok for the tired eyes.

Sorry i beg your pardon, since your skin is already oily why do you need moisturiser?

After you shower or wash your face just spray some rose water or witch hazel (might sting) to freshen up will do.

thanks neo1978!
does anyone have a effective product to recommend for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from pimples/acne?

the most effective product I have seen is using azelaic acid, need to consult your dermatologist to get it, this is for really extreme cases.

best will be w/o product
