merging of threads

Dear boss,
often we see multiple threads being created in EDMW for the same news.

we users want to help to bring these threads to your attention so that they can be merged.

the question is: do we highlight the threads to be merge in this sub-forum, or in the threads themselves?

If you can provide the links of the threads, that would be helpful.

Okay I've merged the threads with redirects.

You can also use the Report button on one of the threads and include the links of the threads you want it merged with.

However, the moderators may decide against merging if the content are of an entirely different context.

Yup, you can request in this sub-forum or report the post to flag to the mods in charge on what you wish to convey.

Replying within the thread itself isn't useful because the moderator may not be reading the thread.

hi doc vijay and lyfeforce,
thank you. i will use the report button to request for thread merging if i see duplicates.

but of course, i will understand if mods and admins choose not to do so.
