Send a text to another iPhone user
Previously my number is shown as my previous texts are there on recipient's phone

Now it shows my email address instead.. Why is it so?


Under messages > send & receive , I can only add email addresses, but my mobile number can't be added
However there's a grey out number I can't edit

No, it also forces the resending of iMessage and FaceTime settings which TS has problems with.

Settings, messages , send&receive, start new conversations from, select your phone number and uncheck your email address

If still cannot, turn off iMessage and on again.

reset all your wifi/apn/imessage/facetime settings to factory

If still cannot, turn off iMessage and on again.

On off iMessage got some telco charges right?

Yes I think 10-20cts charge .. Nice to note that it has fixed the problem

Restore and setup as new

Check your iMessage setting. Send receive address...
Edit: try remove and put SIM card again?
