The new samsung A70 phablet local sets wif super AMOLED 6.7", NFC included, SD675 chip, 6/128GB and 4500 batt capacity only selling at $450 now, will see how MAX 4 will attempt to beat that sia.

You are right, in fact rest of Samsung A series also priced well to match some of the Xiaomi phone.
Is going to be hard for Xiaomi. Need not mention brand like Honor, OPPO.

Once anyone tries / likes / sticks to mi max 3, it'll be quite hard to go back to smaller screens.

I thought that I could give A70 a shot but after looking and comparing just solely on the screen size (smaller + notch), I can't bring myself to change my mm3 for it lol.

Maybe (just maybe) I can give hw mate 20x a try but I'm still holding out for mm4.

Hoping against hope, please make mm4 notch free / hole free / etc.

Snapdragon 710 with 6GB ram, >6.8" display ~$350 and I'm sold. If only the Redmi K20 had a larger display.

Mi Max 4 is no more, as Lei Jun has mentioned that the Mi brand will only have three main series:
- Mi Series (eg. Mi 9)
- Mi MIX (eg. Mi MIX 3)
- Mi CC (eg. Mi CC9)

I would assume Mi Max series is quite popular and they wouldn't just abandon it like this right? Maybe move to Redmi subbrand instead?

Possible, as the features of Mi Max series(big screen and big battery) co-aligns with Redmi brand objectives too, thus it's likely that Mi Max may be renamed as Redmi Max or something else.

Though there's sources saying that there will not be any Max phones for this year, as of now.
