Hi Bros,

Read through multiple threads, but didnt get concise info on what I am looking for:

1.Micro atx size --> SMALL and doesnt take up space, low power consumption.
2. WINDOWS based (not looking at hackintosh)
3. Decent vid card. not gaming, but needs to be snappy for 3d modelling + video editing (which uses vid card proc for processing)
4. max ram + best price / performance CPU.

I'm a mac person, but mac doesnt offer anything except Mac Pro which is SUPER EXP and SUPER BIG. Was initially thinking of mac mini, but that doesnt have good vid card... and a gfx thunderbolt expansion not really ready yet.

Appreciate any advice :)

Micro ATX doesn't automatically mean lower power consumption. Anyway, "3d modelling" doesn't say much. Which package and how heavy are your models?

Not THAT heavy... I'm actually facing more of a challenge with video editing than 3d modelling.

I'm currently on a Macbook Air and using

1.Video Editing:
Final Cut Pro, Motion, Aftereffects, etc
---My CPU maxes out when doing any kind of effect on full HD clips
---Generally working with big files is just a pain.

2. 3d modelling
---Nothing major, just using 3d
I'm just using sketchup to do a bit of product design, and occasionally rendering some scenes.

I'm basically looking for the SMALLEST / CHEAPEST solution that gives me lag free / snappy performance for what I do.... That being said, I don't need instant results when doing heavy duty rendering...

Thx :)
