Hi I'm planning to get either Sony A20 or fiiox1 or fiiox3 gen 2 by June. Prefer Sony coz its light. Now working hard to rip my CDs. I aiming sandisk class 10 ultra.
Or is samsung better?

I need the micro SD card to load in the daps so I can test.

Which processing speed should I get? 48MB/s or 80MB/s? Challenger staff told me the DAP may not be able to play or read if processing speed is too high. But I can't find sandisk 128 GB at 48MB/s. :D:s22:

you trust Challenger staff for advice on tech matters ...... :s13:
it's a memory card, not a CPU.

48 MB/s is second-gen, just get the third-gen which is 80 MB/s. Better yet, get the 200 GB.

Class 10 is the minimum nowadays.

A card rated for 80 MB/s means that it can read at 80 MB/s or better. If the DAP can only read at say 30 MB/s, then the actual speed will be 30 MB/s.

Class 10 just means minimum guaranteed speed of 10MB/s.

I don't think your audio files will come close to saturating that transfer rate?
A 4min file at 10MB/s = 2.4GB
4min file at 80MB/s = 19.2GB.. Lol.

If it is anything similar to cameras, I think the main difference is felt when you load/transfer files. Actual playing shouldn't be a problem ba.

*don't own any DAPs, just speaking generally... please correct if I'm wrong.

Yep, I'll agree with you. There should absolutely be no difference between different classes of mSD. The read speed will probably be limited by the DAP's CPU. I'm using a class 4 on my X1 myself.

Only difference will be the syncing speed, which is probably seldom done.

Recommend class 6 or above
Better to get class 10 especially if playing high bitrate file

For fiio dap
With the recent firmware release able to maintain 8mb/s transfer file rate.
Last time only up to 4.5mb/s

Challenger staff wan smoke who ?
