As per title.

Tested a Sandisk microSD card. Benchmarked with copying random small files like 10 KB to 50 KB each. I feel it's kind of slow. But is this normal?

Is it a problem with:

  • flash memory
  • USB controller
  • file system (FAT32)

Small random files can have slow write speeds. I get about 297KB/s for 4K write with Lexar 32GB microSD. Suggest you test sequential read/write speeds instead.

Nobody benchmark using small random files. Use crystaldiskmark
