Hi, anyone can help? I can’t find a number to call the local support centre. Sent my surface for servicing and after they shipped back to me, I din receive the parcel and now it’s missing. As in SingPost can’t give me a update where is the item now. Duh...

Surfaces are not meant for such purposes. Perhaps the surface book series but that’s expensive.

With Adobe going to a subscription based model. You don’t actually own software anymore.

Paint.net is an freeware alternative.

There exists the type cover bug where the surface is unable to detect the keyboard after some windows update.

Affects surface pro 3 n 4. Encountered this in 2 of my company's unit, and one of my friend's pro 4.

Once affected, no way to use that type cover despite reset/wipe even though the type cover tested working on other surfaces.

Google for it. There's tons of complains online and no response from Microsoft.

As a user who had personally suffered from this, I will advise anyone to stay away from Surface Pro devices.

They killed my keyboard Type Cover without warning and user experience becomes terrible. Stopped using my Surface Pro regularly and it has become a white elephant. Not that Microsoft cared.

Wah, surprised to see so many issues with surface pro series... But i recently got a pro 6 matte... One month plus liao no issues. Initially keyboard got one button was strange but after going online to reset it, it was perfect leh. So far very good imo. Battery lifespan is very good too.

I suggest u buy Microsoft extended warranty from them. It covers the battery replacement. My sp5 battery now last only 1hr after 1.5yr. Replacement will cost 700 from Microsoft. 3rd party is abt 300.

One thing to consider when buying is, cannot use on lap.

I thought it wouldn't bother me but there are a few times when I really wished I had a normal notebook.

Going to buy a normal notebook again.
