Just curious to see if there's any interest here? I didn't bother with their initial 2 releases but the SP3 seems to be competing the light ultrabook market, apart from the keyboard that is.

Surface Pro 3 looks like a decent product. but I wouldn't be buying it, as I already own an iPad =/

A minor quibble, but Surface Pro 3 needs more USB ports man.. Using USB hubs is a pain.

There are lessons to learn if manufacturers are to be successful in their products.

The supply chain must roll out eh product fast when it is introduced. For IT product the life cycle is short.

If the tablet is to target the business segment a dock is essential. The SP2 has the dock but not 3.

The software store must grow fast . No use having a good hardware without good software to run the hardware

Heard that the top i7 range will be equipped with Intel HD5000 and better battery life. Not sure how true this is as all the reviewed products are based on i5.

After seeing so many reviews, I can sum up that it is a decent product aiming right in between the laptop and tablet category. For those that bought a laptop in the last 2 years and have an ipad may not feel the need to switch. But for those who really like the portability, especially just slightly heavier than ipad 2, it is worth considering. Drawbacks would be lack of 4G/LTE support and just 1 USB port.

lol nope, but the ability to run Windows apps isn't enough to convince me to shell out $$ for a Surface Pro 3 when I already have an iPad :)

Other brands also got hybrids running Windows 8. So how different or special is SP3?

300-400gm more. But 1TB disk capacity. Something you can never do with a tablet.

Can, I think Surface Pro 3 most likely still using the older mSATA SSD and Samsung is selling 1TB mSATA SSD :D
