Mid range recommendation

Just my luck when i was playing hearthstone and my 2 years old rig just went dead, no lights, no power.
I tot it was my psu, so i changed to a new one and motherboard has some lights, fans running but does not have any led status. I assume motherboard is faulty too. It will take a long time for motherboard to RMA and most probably i need to reinstall everything,

please help me on new mid range rig as i lost touch on what is the latest.
micro atx size or mini(currently using standard atx Fractal Design Define R5 Black)
Most likely, i will keep my ram, gpu, ssd and psu.
Doesn't play much games, have a dual screen of x34(1440) and a dell 25".
Focus on many chrome tabs and watch videos

Gigabyte GAZ170X-UD5 <-- ultra durable but spoil???
i5-6500 3.2ghz
G.skill 8+8GB 2400 DDR4
Palit 970 4GB ddr5
EVGA G3 850W
samsung ssd 830,840 evo

Previously, i change from Asus z97 pro game and 4th series cpu. Network port has some problem and again, didn't want to wait 1 month for RMA.

Those simple basic motherboard does really v durable, 反而 those Z overclock series more function had more problems. And BTW, gigabyte brand is only good at 1990s

I salute you for changing motherboard straight once it is faulty Lmao

Since buying a new mobo is essentially the same as replacing it. You still have to unmount everything and reinstall back, why not call up CDL and ask them can they exchange for you on the spot, as they would likely have buffer stock for rma. Worth a shot before totally waste money and buy a new board.

Not to be picky, but your combination of 850W psu, running a locked i5 with gtx 970 which have max consumption of 450W at most, is triggering me lol

Well, instead of laughing and lol for. No reasons.
Just do a simple price comparision
850 on amazon is 150.
Sim lim is selling 650 or 750 closer to 200.
Do you still need to lol?

Even if replace motherboard, you still have errors? If no errors, I will glady change on the spot.
I'm just preparing for the worst case scenario. I do not have time to go down. Lucky they still have a sat opening unlike other service center.

If that's the case since you no time to go down to distro unless it's on weekend and have no idea how to troubleshoot, might as well get Aftershock? At least they do after sales support for you.
