Mid to High range Gaming PC recommendation

I'm not very knowledgeable with regards to hardware so some advice would be appreciated.

I currently own a Nvidia GTX 750ti, it's approx 3 years old and I think it's time for an upgrade.

I'd like some advice and recommendations on motherboard and graphic card. I bought my current PC with a budget of $1.1k, what kind of system can I get with a budget of $1.4k?

I appreciate any advice.

hahaha.. expensive man.. I don't remember the exact specifics of my specs.. but I am currently running on i5 with 16g ddr3 ram.. Nvidia GTX 750ti.

I don't have any specifics on games I plan to play but would like to have a system that can handle games to come.. I'm currently playing PUBG and even though I'm running it on low settings I still feel a certain degree of lag..

There are like 4-5 threads on the last 2 pages asking for a rig with an approx. 1.4k budget... Have you looked?

I think it's better to change your GPU.
If your HDD is fine, then you can reuse it.
Ram, sad to say but most mobo are DDR4, ideally maybe you can go for 2x8gb if your budget permits and leave the other 2 for future upgrade.

You can look into Coffee Lake or Ryzen, then see which mobo you want. From there, you can start to see what case size you will need.
When choosing a case, remember to look out for review on the air flow.
After choosing a case, then check on your GPU length, if reusing HDD then get one SDD.

Also do take note on your GPU Length if you got yourself an ITX.

Last but not least, after you have built up a list of component then we will help you improve it.

P/S, do take into consideration if you plan to OC it or not, be it now or future.

I say, just upgrade your GPU can alr, all else is fine. And RAM prices now are expensive, not worth changing for you.

It wont be a world of a difference changing your cpu and ram.

You can reuse your HDD instead of buying a new one, definitely will increase your wallet armor and reduce the damage done to Approx 1.5K? Provided your HDD is not damaged/infected though.
