Can share your counterparty for stx?

When I bought at 1.26 n 1.265, seller was ubs.

I know goldman, jpm, ubs and ML were all selling and buying during these few days

sure, it was UBS.

they are trying to flush the players out i guess, and the counter parties you mention don't have a good buy call i guess.

I know DBS and OCBC have quite strong buy calls on STX, but i don't know whether are they buying, the support seems quite solid at 1.24 with 4 million buying queue today

have to be very patient with this counter, the PE is way too undemanding, see how it goes when they report their Q4 next week

i bought with margin.. but 8lots only.

I bought with the reason that downside is 1.22... at most i sell at the offer price.... loss is limited whilst upside is plenty compared to the 4c

same logic why i bought 20 lots

but the offer only opens for 28 days though, after that i have no idea where will it go haha

the only concern i have is that OZ management is slowly liquidating their stake, it gives that negative image. The last time i checked they left with 8.9% stake, down from the 12%

there's a conspiracy theory that Oz was paid by the italians to push down the price for them....

I read that the formal offer isn't out yet... only when the formal offer is out, then the 28days countdown begins... the offer should come these few days

conspiracy theories may or may not be true, so just take it as it's someone bull****ting lo, an investor relation spokesman said it the official offer will be released between 7 feb to 14 feb

anyway, i doubt the italians want to takeover, if they really had that intention, they would have sweetened their offer from the very start and the public float is quite huge so for a delist is quite tough in my opinion

just remember to reject the GO when they send the letter

the difference is that nera price was not very far from the buyout price.

stx went up till 1.70+ because people buy the rumour that the takeover will be around that price range, ended up only 1.22, if those who bought high feels no point in holding they will sell and buy other counters lo. That's the only reason i can come out with as to why people are selling as the price approaches the 1.22 mark

no problem, see how tomorrow volume should be low since people do not want to take position over the long weekend.

to fully value this counter, must have patience, don't expect a buy and throw within the next 2 weeks

The market like abit unstable liao and I'm quite heavy with midas, stx and hupsteel.... so I thought cash out some thai will be good..... (just felt my luck this week quite bad lol)

sold midas at 55.5c..

lose abit of comm... rather contra out then take up over this holiday season

Think dividend should be a lot lower this time? Last year probably so high cos the old STX parent need money. having said that, last year dividend at this price is like 18+% so 'a lot lower' may still be decent haha.
