This is for my brother!!
He loves to play dota 2 and diablo 3 in max settings.
i don't need OS, keyboard, mouse, and monitor. the only thing that is not on this list is the PSU modular as tradepac states its in "offer"...wtf...



Micro-ITX mid-range gaming setup.
CPU/MOBO: ASRock's Z87E-ITX Mini-ITX + i5-4570 = $474
RAM: Gskills ripjaws 1600mhz kit 2x4gb ~ $95
HDD: WD Blue 1TB = $81

Tradepac: $650 sgd (i'll try to haggle a bit if can lower to $620 coz i'll pay cash)

EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti = $170.10 usd
Cooler Master Elite 130 - Mini-ITX = $43.26 usd
Crucial m4 128 gb = $94.29 usd

Amazon: $307.65 usd x 1.3 (exchange rate) -- still under $400 sgd GST free

cooling probably later after i finish my setup. SSD i also not sure if its cheaper if i buy locally.

Plextor M5S 128Gb $139 and lower, with 3 yrs warranty....

No brainer choice, get it locally. I believe only plextor have very good local pricing compared to amazon pricing...

PSU wise..Can try Thermaltake Smart SE 520/620W at $75/$85 (i think?) respectively depending on your usage. Can be found at PCtheme and is probably one of the cheapest semi-modular psu.

And mobo wise..no need Z board if non-k cpu.

Depends on you... that difference in amount, i rather get locally.. but if u are aiming to save as much as possible, den stick to m4... if it spoils, u have to send back to usa for rma, and dat may cost more den the difference...

with WiFi is better to get the gigabyte h87n WiFi + i5-4570 ~ $406

one of the best it there. you don't need a z board to play games.

You are paying extra for a motherboard that can handle overclocking, if you are not using a K cpu (ie. I5-4570k)

Better to get a H87 board and save some money, i think that motherboard on it's own is 350~ a h87 would be like 150-220, no brainer there

Ah interesting finally someone in hwz spotted the 130. Lol.

That chassis have a good overhaul. Hdd rack removed. 120mm radiator for water cooling. Front is no longer covered by the ridiculous panel, making the airflow better.

You got to check the shipping cost. That 2 cant ship to sg for free.

Go for semi modular. Cause they only leave 2 wires that are important. 20+4 pin atx power. And the 12v pin power.

FYI there is no B mobo for an ITX setup atm for haswell series.

Bro, word of advise... Because ITX build is very compact and parts are often close together, managing HEAT is your priority. CPU and your graphic card should have suffient cooling, use water cooling if possible~

understand bro, will check first if air cooling will suffice as i'm ordering a compact VGA, 4.4 inches only. and also the reason why i'm looking for an mini-itx that already has a built-in wifi, so i don't need to order another adapter for wifi connection. this build is for my brother who just wants to play dota 2, diablo 3 and league of legends in max settings. his not really a hardcore gamer.

Can lah. It supports a standard size ATX PSU. I can fit my Thermaltake SMart SE into my CM120 before. No issue.
