Been a while since I wanted in HWZ...

My old Zotac Zbox (Media Player) is coming about to give way after 7 years and I am looking for a replacement with GPU.

Due to space limitation (D) 220mm x (W) 220mm x (H) 260mm, I am limited with choices. Currently , I am looking at Zotac EN1060K which is quite costly.

Before I commit to Zotac I would like to check if there are any other options . My Budget is range 1.2 - 1.5K I can reused my SSD 80G and 250G. Best is to support 1080P or 4K format.

Gurus , please advise

But damn hard to find in SLS. Always no stock here and there, the closest I ever got was "stocks will come next week".

Fortunately now Lazada and Qoo10 exists. If not will be forced to order from Taobao again.

Realan E-C3 still remains my favorite choice for mITX with external PSU

This thing looks similar to In-win Chopin, except much cheaper. IIRC In-win also has a not-Chopin that uses the identical frame, except those are even more out-of-stock when I asked.

I may get this for my next build that needs a graphics card. Although the SG13 is already tight as (insert probably offensive analogy) with one 2.5" one 3.5" and an ATX PSU with 3A USB5V which I do need.

Nice casing but it is lacking GPU which I prefer. Unless I go for Ryzen ?

if you dont intend to play games, there is a dell laptop in lazada with 7 series i3, capable of 4k 10 bit playback for 580. but only hdmi 1.4 tho

I forgot to mention Jonsbo V3+, since it is inefficient space-wise (10.5L yet max GPU length is 200mm)

But since your requirement calls for a squarish case then it fits well. (Most cases that can fit long graphics cards are rectangular or slim)

IF you don't play PUBG or heavy AAA games, 2200G or 2400G will do nicely

If you can make space for 400mm by 400mm by 200mm ( Space with air circulation and wiring taken into consideration ) you can go for an Asus G20 unit which is also costly

Zotac EN1060 is not that small either so for your ppace requirement, Chopin seems to be the best bet.

If you don't even play games

Go Lazada

You should be able to get a tiny box with 4g or 8g ram and a low tdp processor capable of playing back HEVC for 200+ or 300+ WIH WIFI and WINDOWS
Using that for my bedroom. Forgot brand Beebox i think
I mounted on wall and trunked all wiring..

Which ITX motherboard is recommended? ASRock or Gigabytes?
I read somewhere that Ryzen is not well supported by Linux OS. is that right ?

Three available budget choices: ASrock Fatal1ty AB350, Gigabyte AB350N Gaming Wifi and MSI B350i Pro ac.

ASRock is by far the most popular. The community is huge and problems well documented. AFAIK easy to o/c and push components to the limits. Cons are rear I/O has no USB 3.1 Gen 2 and no other display option except HDMI.

Gigabyte is in second place. Strong following also and o/c not a problem (though have to work with voltage offsets). More connectivity options at the back with Displayport and USB 3.1 Gen 2. However some complain that the board gets hot when pushed - cooling could be less adequate.

MSI is just like the Gigabyte but because it is newer in the market it has not been discussed much yet. Board cooling from one review seems very good. Rear i/o options same as Gigabyte but Audio solution is inferior. O/c options is similar to the first two but seems like direct voltage setting is possible - so that's a plus.

I went with the MSI as I am building in a very small case (smaller than Inwin and with less ventilation) so cooling is more critical. The price was also a little less (around $10) than the others plus now got MSI promotion with $10 NTUC vouchers.

Thank for the advise. I am looking to build into Inwin Chopin hence cooling is a factor. Are u using any cooler fan?

In the Chopin the CPU fan has nearly direct access to outside air through the mesh. I do not think you will have a cooling problem.
