I m new to Mini PC. Laptop is abt to die on me. Thinking of a new PC...saw these mini ones...maybe can be neat on my desk.

My requirements:
- max say $500 to $550?
- allow me to hook up to 2 monitors.
- can power on for long hours morning till late night for trading.
- at least 24gb Ram, 500gb/1TB space
- play music via blue tooth or wifi?
- play 4k movies smoothly
- MS office work

And finally, mini pc used for long hours, can than 3 to 5 yrs? Will not be playing games for sure.

can check aliexpress or amazon for n150 mini pc, good enough for your usage requirements

around $200 for 8/256config

note: no local warranty as these are export sets

whether it can last for 3-5 years, suspect tough, but for $200, already good value-for-money if it can last 2 years, remember to keep it well ventilated, i.e. don't block the intake and exhaust outlets

Thank u so much for this.

May I check, mini pc are not made to last?
Is there any brand which sold in Singapore has warranty so I can walk in to fix or has customer support if sometime happens? I m not too tech savvy when it comes to in depth troubleshooting or repair

Maybe will just give this mini pc a try. Not going to do gaming so I hope nothing goes wrong.

Minisforum or Beelink is more reliable? Any experience?

You can perhaps check out AOOSTAR GT37 AMD's HX370 32GB RAM 1TB SSD for $1177 ($879 USD). They are one of the rare few that's packing both Oculink ports and USB4 into their mini-pcs.

I just bought their external AG02 eGPU dock packs both Oculink & USB 4 (TB3) connections & 800W PSU as well in case you want to boost your mini-pc with an external GPU.

They also have a 8845HX version Gem12 with 32GB RAM for $734 ($549 USD) you can also upgrade that model to 64GB RAM for $895 ($669 USD)

It's an order of magnitude cheaper than the local ones sporting the same specs. You got to weigh the fact if it's worth paying 33% more money for local warranty. For me it's definitely worth a shot.

Beelink SER5 Mini PC - AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Can use as Triple Displays. Comes with W11 Pro. 4K plays smoothly. We rarely turn off the computer. For audio, it is best still use the old traditional hard wired and it depends what audio system you hooked to. It has 5 USB ports with one very important one is USB TYPE C port which can be use as display purpose if needed.

I bought 3 of this for my company. It's small, compact and save plenty of space. It have most of the functions needed for daily website browsing, email and watching movies. Most PC does not come with MS Office BUT you if you do a search on Lazada or Shopee, there are many offering MS Lifetime license at an affordable price. It's still original license and you do not need to keep renewing yearly.

Original price is $550.00. I bought it on Lazada during sale period with all the discounted vouchers. So, I paid $490.00 per PC. And yes, comes with 1 year International Warranty.
