You can easily check YouTube on that 3 games performance on vega56 with your Ryzen 5 based on 1080p without 144hz.

I doubt all 3 games you mentioned can run at 144fps on a 1080p 144hz monitor.

Hijack the thread as I have a somewhat similar concern. My current monitor spec is 1080p 60Hz. If I were to get the 1070(Ti maybe?) would it be an overkill? Intending to game at Ultra to High setting at 1080p for the next few years. I am also building a new rig so would a R5 2600 (non X) CPU bottle neck the 1070 (Ti?) or would it be wiser to just go for the RX 580? My worry is that maybe 5 years down the road the RX580 might not be sufficient. Will the 1070 (Ti?) be future proof enough for 1080p 60Hz gaming?

A 2600 would in no way bottleneck a 1070 or 1070ti. Even the 1600 can run those two cards perfectly fine. And 1070ti can easily push past 60hz so 144hz is fine on 1070ti.

Good to hear that the 1070Ti is sufficient. However, budget is also a concern, so I am looking at the most cost effective card that can future proof the rig for 5 years. My main choices of GPU at the moment at the RX580, 1070 and the 1070Ti. Also, my monitor has FreeSync, hence the consideration for AMD. Vega is out of my budget.

Am I right to say that in general, games grows in their processing demand and that GPU that were once used to be comfortable for 1080p game gets relegated? And that high tier GPU that can handle 1440p gaming on ultra in the past might end up barely supporting 1080p gaming in the present?

5 Years RX580 sure not enough. Honestly its pretty hard to "future-proof" for such a long period of time as nobody knows how much the technology will advance. 1080Ti can even be obsolete in 5 years, nobody can say for certain.

RX580 is pretty similar to a GTX1060 which im using and on current AAA games already <100 fps.

Budget and "future-proof" is pretty much mutually exclusive, I'd say just get a card you are comfortable paying for now, as your usage may change in the future as well

Just get the best card which you afford right now and be done with it. When it feels slow, time to upgrade with the same decision. Usually works out well enough no matter which card you choose.

Example, u get rx580, last u 3 years and get an equivalent number of that generation i.e rx x80. Works out to be about the same as 1070ti last u 5 years and you get the same series again.
