Minsu recommendation in Hua Lien

Hi Everybody,

My friend and I will be visiting Hua Lien in mid nov and intend to spend 2 nights there. Is there any recommendation in Hua Lien's minsu whereby we can enjoy nice sea view from our room?

Sea view eill be those at qixingtan area.
Bayview etc. do a run through on google map, should see quite a few options.

But still prefer to stay near city.

Had booked a minsu stated in one of the recommendation.

As I was using google map to understand more on how I can travel around Hualien, is it a must to travel around Hua Lien with a car?

Other than that, would you all recommend me to head to Hua lien first once I land in taoyuan, or should I head to Taipei first and make Hua lien my last stop?

I'll be reaching taoyuan at 12pm on my first day and departing taoyuan at 8pm on my last day.

My friend who went there mentioned that public transport will not be helpful in traveling around.

I was intending to rent a car to drive for a day but recommendation from here has made me tend towards getting a driver instead.

I booked bay view hotel. It is $2800NT per night.

看見鐵道民宿
They have a nice top room for 12.
We stayed there back in 2013.
7 pax and entire space. It is near to 中山商圈。
Where you can get your 公正包子，包心粉圓.
The new Night market walk back also not far.
Was supposed to do third night there, but due to soulik typhoon, they told us to get going back soon before routes are blocked. Refunded us the lodging and assisted our bookings of tickets.
A highly recommended 道地佳人.
