Missing / Left over icon in iPhone

I'm wondering if anyone have a bunch of missing icon / left over app inside settings when you scroll to the bottom where all the apps are.

How do you get rid of those apps that you already deleted?

I notice it only get cleared when a new iOS update is release.
The missing / left over icon most likely to happen when you update / install a whole bunch of app together

think I know what u mean. I had this before. iirc I went into
settings > general > storage & iCloud usage
then looked for those orphaned apps n deleted them.

how to get rid? dont tell me to check 'purchase' app and re-download bcos i have 30000 apps in there.

Yes, i've tried your method but still the faulty apps are there. From what I experienced only iOS update manage to clear it

hmm once I delete them from e "storage n iCloud usage" section, e app is gone from e settings page...

hmm I'm on e latest 9.2.1 n I just deleted a few off last night. anyway 9.3 shud b landing soon. hang in there...

Oh this one I also got. Everytime after apps update will has one or 2 missing icon. U just try to delete the app. If cannot delete. Just restart the phone will do. Then redownload the apps. And the icon will appear agaib

Anyway now Game Center showing white screen. Doing the airplane mode trick doesn't work. Really Crappy.

Try a soft reset or try logging out ur Apple ID and log in or try the bro below mention.

iOS 9.3 cleared all the icon. I have a habit of download and del app. Don't like to see 'Get' button. Got around 30000+ apps in purchased so wont know which is the correct icon.
