Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Benchmarks
Back in 1996, a 200MHz Pentium (fastest stuff from Intel) deliver just a paltry 67 MFLOPS.....A tiny mobile CPU a fraction of the size and power consumption delivers 455 MFLOPS. Even one of the fastest CPU in the world (533MHz Alpha CPU), is just 153 MFLOPS....
Btw, the first TFLOPS supercomputer uses 9298 Pentium Pro CPUs and uses around 850KW of power.... Assuming we could combine 1000 of these snapdragon CPUs, we are getting also 1 TFLOPS.
Quite amazing feat when you consider 1996 is just 17yrs ago.
