If signing new line, likely no charge. I did it earlier this yr, transfer my line to another person and was not charged, she signed a sim only plan.

Nowadays telcos do not value loyalty. I made a mobile number ownership transfer and was charged a one time registration fee of $40 after GST.

And this orange telco shamelessly puts it nicely under 12 mths service commitment charge.

Was it a norm to charge 1 mth post subscription ahead?

Both my previous and present plan is under SIM plan only.

The 40 bucks is quoted under the penalty of termination of my old sim plan 20 before keppel bought over m1.

M1 retailers told me that if i change plans i would not be charged and yet when i did a number change and force to take up a new plan instead of continuing the old plan, the kuku cso included this charge on spot.

Ps:i swap my old number for a golden number instead.

I called the hotline and the fee was waived off since keppel took over m1 and there shouldn't be any termination fee involved.

It is a lack of competency of the imm cso, as the old sim plan agreement was before the buy over
