Mobile Swop vs AppleCare?

Hi all,

I just gotten my iPhone 6 with SingTel and I am wondering if Apple Care will be better than Singtel's Mobile Swop?

I do not foresee myself from travelling much out of Singapore for the next 2 years (probably 2 short trips out)

both mobile swop and applecare are clearly different. do note the costs that come with mobile swop when you request for any device to be swopped...

mobileswap is by a 3rd party. There is no promises that they have stock to replace for you. Super lame.

those telco support like mobileswap is ok lor but applrecare stll best

Any stuff that is provided by 3rd party, mostly is just vapourware or you will entail a very lengthy and cumbersome process to get back what you paid for.

Just like best denki or courts extended warranty, read the fine prints. It's so fine and grey until it's too good to be true.

I told them I lost phone and they asked me when I lost it. Then 1688 suspend my line and divert me to mobile swope department .

At mobile swop department, they asked the same question again arrange delivery time,amount I need to pay($550) ,need a replacement SIM card not and payment method either by cash or visa. The terms and condition is that the old imei number will be send to the police station and if the old found was found, it will be Singtel property instead of urs. And what crime blanlsbla just have to listen to them saying all the terms and u just reply with "ok understand" that's all.

Overall is simple and easy. No other question asked other than what happened to your phone.
One word"lost" will do.
