Mobo cpu led is red

I connected the basic components and when tried to boot the system the cpu led on the motherboard is lit red.

I connected the cpu (i7-8700k) to the mobo (Z390-E gaming) and 2 sticks of ram (2x8gb trident z 3200). The 8pin cpu and 24pin mobo connectors are plugged in. Finally the case power switch and onboard hdmi to my monitor.

I press the case on switch and the led lights up in sequence until the boot led remains static red. After a while the cpu led turns on.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Did you change any setting on bio?if yes try to reset the cmos back to default and try again.

No idea man.. I just dismantled and reassembled them back. Now working fine..
