Hi all. I just RMA-ed an Asrock H61M U3/S3 motherboard.
The problem was that it could not be powered on.

Now I jsut got it back and it can be powered on, but the problem is that I can not get any display from the onboard graphics of i5 2320.

I put in a G550 CPU and still could not get a video output. I did not test with a discrete GPU, because whether discrete GPU work on the mobo or not I am not going to use discrete GPU with this mobo. And the underlying problem is that the mobo still has a problem.

Do they fully test the motherboard before certifying it as fixed? Or they just fix what is wrong with it and certify it fixed?

I should send it back for RMA again right?

Did you clear the CMOS once?

Usually you do it by using the dedicated "clear CMOS jumper" on the board. Look up the user manual.

usually you ask them to do a power up on the spot before collecting it back & signing on the form... if you did not, then you have to go there again... :s22:

Yeah, bring your chip there next time when you are getting your board back from RMA and ask them to test it on the spot before you pick it up. Otherwise, you end up making another trip back. Not likely they will retest it when they get it back from RMA.
