Mom's iphone 13 pro screen issues

My mom was complaining to me that her phone has screen issues. Checked and the screen has turned green with white horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the screen. I tried hard resetting, but results are still the same. Her phone was never dropped before also. This phone is just a month away from being 1 year old so fast LCD gone already? This means gone case already right? It's the first iPhone in my family's history of owning iPhones to fail this quickly. Can send it back to Apple for a repair?

but a bit suspect no drop before.

anyway things can fail. doesn't mean iphone or non iphone. 1 occurrence does not make it a pattern.

Just go get it fixed lor since still within 1 year warranty.

Common issue. Many people globally reported same issue after updating to lastest iOS. Been an issue since 15.6.1 update. Just bring it to Apple they will fix it.

Wow. This is serious. But lucky that I never encountered this with my iPhone 13 back then.

wow that seems serious. I'm still on iOS 15.4, maybe it's a blessing I didn't update.

Wait i just checked that her phone was purchased on 16 Oct 2021, so that's more than a year so warranty is gone already? I wonder how much would apple charge to fix this issue? Since there was no cosmetic damage, and more like the software bricking the phone instead? prior to this green screen problem, her screen would periodically flicker and have 'lightning strike' effects.

Faster schedule an appointment. It has only been a few days since warranty expiry date so maybe they will assist still. Until now, it's not clear what caused this issue. Seemingly it's a software problem but hard reset couldn't resolve it. Those who got their phones back after servicing by Apple reported that there was no sign of screen replacement though so likely it's some issue only Apple can fix for now. At least it's not that uncommon so I think they will be understanding wrt this.

i just asked my mom what exactly happened. she said she did drop her phone, but didn't mention when it happened or how high was it dropped from. All she mentioned was that the phone fell face first. But people do drop their phones all the time anyway, and one drop shouldn't be that jialat to make the screen spoil so fast like that what? The screen is not cracked either? Anyway she came back home with a new iPhone 14 Pro, will advise her to send the older faulty iPhone 13 Pro to the Apple Store.

necroing this just to state that it just happened to one of my 13 pro.
It wasn't dropped so not the dropping issue. quick search on youtube and twitter shows a lot of similar cases in Asia.
sadly my phone was about 45 days out of warranty when it happened, so still appealing to apple to repair it without charging me $420 for the screen.
