Money Changer at Shanghai

Hello Everyone,

My first trip to shanghai and i google and found out mixed answer that money changer not available everywhere in shanghai except banks only.

Just in case I run out of cash and would need to change SGD to RMB would like to confirm if money changer are easily found in malls or only at banks and airport?

Going next year.

Money changer services only at banks. I remembered queueing 1 hour just to change $50. Told myself never again!!

Dun ever change in banks. The rate is Super lousy.

Rely on credit cards or Cirrus/Plus ATM if you run out.

their ATMs accept our ATM cards.
Banks charge quite a bad spread >3% so you're better off pressing ATM. go to the big4 banks' ATM or BOoC to change physical cash.

try to press larger amounts >S$300 as our banks here usually charge a $5 fee + usual spread of ~3%.
