so far guys, is it better to use debit card over in hong kong for shopping or use hong kong cash?
because last month i went to taiwan, i changed money from the arcade building and the rate was 23.57 but then when i was in taiwan, i used debit card and the rate was 23.67!
so im wondering if its the same as hong kong??

The rate is up and down and it depend on the market rate during the transaction charged. Might be higher and might be lower.

if go 5 days in HK... not really shopping much, just eat and sights & disneyland... $500 enough (excluded air tix and accomodation)?

Should be just enough (depending on where you dine at) but why not change a bit more in case, you never know what you might buy/find... ???

For money changer usually raffles arcade change alley has the best rates, a lot of money changers here you can just walk around and compare. best time to change is wed-thurs off peak e.g. 3pm.

The one at chinatown has long queue but for some currencies isn't that great?!?
