Don't bother to wait for it to get better, seriously. If you had followed news, you will know that USD will only go further up this year. Almost a confirm plus chop thing. Hence HKD will just keep going up, from 5.85 about two or three weeks back till 5.78 now (as per dede bro). You wait some more and it'll go down to 5.5 liao...

lol I juz changed HKD to SGD about 3700hkd ... coz last time change at 6.15...now no go hk already so change back at arcade ...

Now the rate is 4.65 ...
Changed two years ago at 5.06 ...
Should wait until drop more than change back SGD ....

I think would hardly reach 6 ba ...
so far already many months below 6 liao ...
Think so far within the 3 yrs highest is 6.30 ...
But now USD getting stronger and stronger, hitting 1.33 liao ...

Haha you talking about changing back to SGD, when most pple here want to change to hkd.

BTW I don't change back foreign currencies one, dunno why. I alwaya feel there's always a chance that I'm going that country again, so I just kept the money.

coz now hkd rates so bad. Just nice to change back HKD to SGD....
Never plan to fly HK soon, maybe perhaps 5 to 6 yrs later then fly, or when there is good promotions.

So far have went to HK twice. Once during last last year xmas 25 Dec - 1 Jan by scoot 120+18, the other was during my university yr 2 during Feb term break ... Took HK 134 booked 8 mths ago to get that price lol ...

Normally budget airline 134 - 156 is good price by tiger and jetstar.
Scoot price sometimes lower than that, but timing super bad.
SQ and cathay about 268 to 308 if good promo ...
Have seen SQ two to fly 280 per pax by a380 fly Mar, promo was during last year

intended to change $400, n the rate was 5.75,

good that they have small notes. arcade mostly only have HKD1,000. so gotta change in denomination of HKD1,000. not so flexible.

5.75 I guess is considered ok already, especially when you can get smaller notes at the same time.

My corporate money changer is only offering 5.73 for the past few days... Maybe I should oso go fountain change liao.

Marina Fountain is a good choice to change currency, if you have no time you go weekdays to arcade to chnage.
Marina fountain rates is slightly lower or on par to raffles arcade

Ya. Best part is its just next to my office building. so every time I will ask my corporate moneychanger for their rate first. If not good, I'd change at Fountain. But if comparable with Fountain, then I'll just change with the corporate money changer coz 1) they deliver the money to our company, 2) their money confirm authentic, and 3) can specify exact denominations
