Got the fake $1k note problem. Try to get $500 notes from changers, or use the $1k at 7-11.

Most fake $1k notes are from 2003, so if the ones you have are later than that, it should be real. But still try to get rid of them by buying Octopus cards or something.

The money changer mostly give mostly 1k

I usually go to the money changer inside Bishan J8 or CCK Lot1. They might not have the best rates in SG, but they offer very competitive rates (possibly one of the highest in SG) which I do not find it worthwhile to sniff out better rates elsewhere.
