Just change in your nearest neighborhood, avoid shopping malls. The little difference in currency 2 decimal place would not save you any money either. Unless you are talking about 5 digits.

So true. I was at Plaza Singapura when I thought of going over to The Arcade to change S$600. Then I decided to check the difference between the lowest and highest rates everyone had mentioned at that time, and finally just went down to the basement to change.

Me: "Can I only have $500 bills, don't want $1000 ones?"
Money Changer: "No problem!"

Glad I did a little bit of maths.

Arcade money exchangers sell HK in 1000s note or 500s note?

if they have smaller notes to rid, will usually give you, they also don't want to keep smaller notes.

but that time i changed and another time my colleague changed, don't have 500s.

1000s quite troublesome. that time shared 5000 with my colleague cos i thought 2000 too little.

Most shops do accept HKD1000 now, else you can change at banks or your hotel concierge. HTH

All around 5.955 to 5.957.

Just called Seen and Arcade Plaze: 5.97

Going to HK next week, nt sure to change now or gamble to hit back 6(so easy calculation when spending).
