guys, i remembered i read somewhere that says not to change currency on monday is it true? Or was it not to change on weekend, i forgot. Reason was that the rates will be a bit hiked up by dealers as the most recent rates are not available. (weekend sounds more logically it seems)

weekends cos weekends no actual rate to peg against. but it depends ba.

i ever changed on sun, then mon rate went in the unfavorable direction. not HKD though, was THB.

then recently also saw JPY was still good on a sat but mon rate went up also and for the whole of that week.

HKD is pegged to USD. Unless something happens to USD, HKD will remain relatively stable. This quarter's US data is quite strong, so HKD will strengthen against SGD.

For those going to HK in the next 2 quarters, just pray that US economic data is not strong and HKD will weaken against us (provided our MAS also don't do anything funny to SGD, like purposely weaken it to counter inflation).
