In SG, we can actually live for free as follows, every night go behind breadshops and collect leftovers for breakfast, then lunch and dinner go temple and eat free food, at night go hospital or airport and sleep with aircon and wifi.![]()

How has your routine been? Feels similar to living a minimalist type lifestyle. It's something I've always heard of but never encountered nor tried.
pag pag in philippines really quite dirty. mostly dumpster salvaged stuff... worse than normal street food but what to do when there's poverty

Haha Extreme Cheapskates (Singapore Edition)!
Our Changi airport is one if not the best to sleep in! Aircon is so strong that you need a sweater or blanket to sleep comfortably.
Still the same but not so extreme like the Extreme Cheapskates reality television series.
It will takes years to work on getting rid of junk (especially if you have stock inventory) that one has accumulated over the years but it is never too late to start. Donate, sell, trade the useless belongings away.
I frequently go on a 2-3 week road trip with just a small backpack, disposable toiletries, 1 set of clothes, smartphone, cash and passport. Private room accomodation with wifi. Budget between S$10-20 a day depending on location. Cheaper than renting a HDB bedroom in Singapore to 'bum'.
Pag pag is too extreme!![]()
yoo i enjoy backpacking too! with 25-30L packs and not the 70L packs youngsters carry nowadays. It's cheap and fun, and honestly we're quite lucky to have so many budget routes and so many good travel options nearby.
Definitely going to take years for me to clear out my stuff.. Something I'll probably need to get going since probably shifting place.

Haha glad you enjoy travelling on the cheap like me. Changi Airport is charging more passenger tax since July 2018. It is more economical to fly inbound but not outbound. KLIA2 is perfect for stretching your dollar. Downside is must endure 4 hour coach ride one way.
Shifting house forces you to clear out the junk in the quickest speed.![]()

Why don't you fly from Johor?

Money Saving Technique:
1) Office Food - soft drink package, snacks, chips which are free
2) Rice Garden and Foodfare everyday
3) No spending more than $5 on food unless is go out with friends.
not all offices have free soft drinks or snacks
i know some even have cup noodles so you can save 1 meal per week (eat 1 cup noodle meal per week, dont eat too much bad for health)

I don't usually buy bottled drinks. Instead, I bring a used bottle filled with tap water or drinking water at the office(free). SG tap water quality is not so bad.
My friend does this:
1. record all expenses --> he spends ,$6 everyday for 2 meals
2. Don't go fancy restaurants / even mid fancy also cannot
3. Eat heavy bfast and a late lunch with more rice and skip dinner
4. Specifically ask the cai fan uncle for items that aren't (premium) some places have more expensive "meat"/"Veg"
