Monitor Audio Input Questions

[zyphanox]

Hi all, been searching through but unable to find information on this:

Any idea if the monitor audio inputs (Specific model U2417H) supports a headset with a mic? lets say if i plug it in, would the mic be usable? Or only audio would work? Is there anyway to circumvent the problem? Thank u

i dun think so some more its more like the monitor audio output is for u to connect to their dell soundbar, but most possible is through ur GPU DP or HDMI to product the sound.

i think the jack is only for sound output. I'm currently using a 2.0 speakers with the monitor 3.5mm jack. what headset are you intending to use on the port?

perhaps i can do a quick test tonight using apple earpods.

According to the U2417H specs:

Audio Output: 1 x Audio line-out

So, nope. Output only...
