Hi all,
I want to buy a new monitor that can be used a TV (Digital).
What is the specs that i must take note?
Thank you.
A monitor can never replace a TV without the receiver, antenna and (some) audio speaker.
Buy a TV and use it as monitor, best of both world. TV 32inches and above comes with at least 2 HDMI input.
If i buy a TV as monitor, is there any limitation to what the monitor can do but not the TV?
Is there any specs i have to take note for the TV?
Thanks.

If your main usage is TV and monitor is secondary, nothing beat this Philips 24PFT4233/98 4200 series Full HD Ultra Slim LED TV with DVB-T/T2 Digital Tuner. You need an antenna source for receiving TV signal.

WOW, this is cheap.....i will take note.
thank you everyone for your advice.
I got that TV. Don't buy it from Lazada unless got promo code or whatever. Bought it from Mustafa for $159 with 1 year local warranty just this year.
But mind you that the TV is okay to be a secondary monitor. The display quality is not that good as compared to a monitor. Felt that it is grainy despite comparing with other same resolution monitor.
Get a monitor that supports HDR, it will improve brightness, contrast and color range when you use it as a TV to watch HDR contents.
Same model or 24PHT4003 HD?
24inches at FHD, I couldn't imagine how grainy is the display for PC input 1920x1080 60Hz resolution using as monitor. TV programs could be grainy due to not all program are FHD resolution.
The Philips 24PFT4233/98 4200 model. The 1080p model.
I am not talking about how the TV displays the tv programs but how TV displays output from your PC as compared to a monitor. And when compared I just feel that it appears grainy despite both the TV and my primary monitor is set at 1080p. Also, the colour reproduction is a bit different it feels a bit more purple-lish. Overall, it is still function well and suit my purpose.
Others things to note:
1. Just like all LED TV, the sound output is meh... By the way, the sound outputs from the back and is pointed upwards.
2. The height can't be adjusted.
3. Got USB port, hence you can plug in your thumbdrive and play movies directly. Tried and works on avi, mkv, mp4 file format so far.
TS u may wanna get something like this... https://www.qoo10.sg/item/2018-HD-DVB-T2-MEDIACORP-DIGITAL-TV-RECEIVER-VGA-HDMI-RCA-OUTPUT/491365079
