monitor cant read hdmi from gpu

So i just now on my com at first my HDMI cable was plugged into the gpu hdmi port there but after computer prom me to restart , after i restart my monitor cant detect my gpu hdmi anymore im now using on board graphics is there chance that my gpu up lorry ?

I dun think the GPU up lorry.

U probably need to check to see if the monitor still has display from your onboard graphics HDMI port. If yes, then u will need to go into BIOS to change the graphics priority to initiate the PEG (PCI Express graphics) first before onboard graphics.

But I thought in your first post u mentioned that the display went blank only after u restarted as prompted by the computer?

yes . it went blank but later i try again it cant so i switch to a older gpu gtx 460 i use it using VGA and the display can light up and lead to windows .
And after that i tried using back my new one r9 280x i tried using vga first cant , and than i tried using hdmi also cant

Sometimes it went blank because the motherboard went back to using the onboard graphics to output signal, that's why I want u to test the output from the onboard graphics ports.

Anyway, another thing to try is to reset the CMOS (remove the battery, or short the relevant pins).

er can you explain what you mean by remove the battery or short the relevant pins ? dont really understand that part .
Hmm did the first step already but still cant read my gpu hdmi currently still using onboard

Ermm u dunno what is reset CMOS?

In that case, have u tried the relevant GPU on another computer?
