Guys, really need your help now. My Crossover DOA and I gotta ship it back to red-cap.

Can anyone please advise what is the most economical means or method. Damn unlucky for my first ebay purchase...

DOA? You sure? Monitor no light at all when powered? Light as in the small little led indicator at the corner, nothing?

Sorry my error, what I actually mean is that it cannot display image. There's red light, I press become green then got white flash then it goes back to red light. Win 7 and Catalyst (Using 6970) detects it but states it as 'disabled'...

those who purchased from G-Market do please give a review of the seller. I don't think anyone has ever bought from them, do please prove me wrong and if so do give an opinion of the seller in terms of communication, speed of delivery and stuff.

Really interested to know especially since they sell the monitor much cheaper

I heard of alot of people buying things from Gmarket but not this monitor yet. Hopefully somebody that has bought it can share here.

Is it due to the power supply? Not sure it helps

Took from overclock.net forum

First thing I did was test the monitor on the supplied stand. I found it to be just fine for a normal stand. It is the non-pivot version because I will be using my own monitor arm. After trying to plug in the power plug backwards a few times and it buzzing and the power supply shutting down, I found out that you actually need to insert the power plug in a way that was not logical to me. The part on which your thumb rests needs to be facing the monitor instead of outward. Amazingly enough, it goes in the wrong way far enough for it to brown the pins and make it buzz a bit.... :S Luckily it fired right up when inserted correctly. A warning:

The flat surface of the power connector should face the monitor, NOT outward as you would expect.

Did some checks, all ok and turned it off to remove the stand and attach my monitor arm. That all went fine.... until..... it wouldn't turn on anymore. :S The powersupply would very softly blink it's green light and make a strange buzzing/beeping sound very softly. No life from the monitor whatsoever.

After thinking what it could be, I remembered somewhere I believe in the catleap threads someone mentioned that the VESA mounting holes are very shallow and to watch out with it. I decided to try and see and removed the lower 2 mounting screws and reconnected the power. Light comes on, all is well! After checking, I can actually see blue PCB in the lower mounting holes where I could see marks of my screws digging in. Not cool..... So a warning for everyone:

Watch out using the VESA mounts and check screw depth on lower holes!

There, hopefully others won't make the same mistakes.

Anyway, only had about half an hour left to tinker with it but from I saw it looked great. Photo' s and more tonight! And for now, everyone a big thank you in this forum for sharing your experiences!

I doubt the monitor is DOA. Make sure you are outputting using the dual-link DVI port on your card. IIRC the 6970 has only one of such a DVI port and the other is a single link DVI port.

I have a MSI 6950 so can it work? There are 2 dvi slots on my card though

I heard of alot of people buying things from Gmarket but not this monitor yet. Hopefully somebody that has bought it can share here.

just received ACHIEVA Shimian QH270-IPSB from gmarket
ordered wednesday night, so shipping is pretty fast!
quality of monitor is bad.
1. screen leans forward
2. quite a bit of dust behind screen
3. bezel is scratched at one corner
4. some styrofoam is wedged in between the glass and bezel at the same corner

so far seems like no dead pixels, quality of panel is good.
so the fault seems to lie with the manufacturer. seller on gmarket is okay.
should i take the glass apart to clean the dust behind? any recommendations?

paid S$375

as long as the graphics card has a dual-link dvi output it should work (so yes your 6950 should work since it has a dual-link dvi port)

now thats cheap. maybe more people can save some money by ordering from gmarket :D

Or if those want to buy from ebay, maybe can PM those sellers telling them about price matching the gmarket seller. Maybe they'll sell it to you at that price too. You never know.

yes i am using it now. It is supported.

However, the dual link dvi adapter is extremely unreliable. Sometimes must unplug and plug back a few times to get proper signal. Lots of people having the same problem too.

the adapter has 3 different firmwares. The latest is 1.03. Hopefully you get the latest one when you buy.

anyone can share best place to buy without defects?

There is no such thing as best place to buy. Its a risk that all of us must take. I seen in forum even when people paid a premium (USD60) to the seller for them to check they still ended up with monitor with dead/stuck pixel. But I think I will recommend redcap as they will check the monitor for DOA before sending it out.
