Hmm, just saw the threads in OCN yesterday. Very tempted to get one just because its so damn cheap...

I'm looking at the Achieva Shimian tempered glass version, looks damn good but got the cons of higher chances of dead pixels and dust behind the glass.

One question I read that there are two general revisions of the monitors (whichever brand) one with the pcb board that allows to double the pixel or something? Like so you can use your PS3 or whatever devices and use a HDMI to DVI cable and the monitor will work. I know the ad listing for all the monitors state they DO NOT have the step up board or something but apparently people still are able to make it work.

To TS who has bought it can you try it out and see if it works?

EDIT: The correct term should be a scaler. I don't think the single DVI-dual link input monitors have it. But can you play using 720p (HDMI -> DVI)? Can anyone check?

Tested with PS3, does not seems to work.. the monitor detects the signal by turning the LED button light blue but there is not picture.. The output via ps3 was 1080 p...

can you try setting your ps3 to 720p to see if that works? apparently a scaler is needed for 1080p to 1440p however, if your mainboard is of a particular revision (which should be C or something) it will help in pixel doubling or something from 720 to 1440.

can you please help check? Thanks in advance!

Price difference between crossover and catleap (comparing basic version) is ~20 SGD based on the ebay price. Is the difference only in terms of looks and not build quality?

Hi, very interested on these korean LCD IPS 27 inch monitors.

Read that to get the native 1440p, need to use DVI-D Dual Link. My MSI 5770 HD have Dual-link DVI x 1 , is that possible? Have read that it's possible.. but just checking otherwise.

I'm intending to run 3 display, my Samsung 42 inch LCD TV with HDMI, U23h11 with Display port and prolly this kind of monitors with DVI.

according to posts in OCN as long as your graphic card can output 1440p (usually meaning have dvi dual link output) can drive the monitor. Those charts that the sellers provide sometimes not really accurate.

This is based on what I've read and gathered so far.

Thanks, thats the same thing that bewildered me was the charts from the seller regarding 5770.. anyhoo just checked Gmarket, seller HAPPY MALL is selling them as well. Selling Crossover with Pivot at $520.00 .
