Meaning ?

Worth or not? Can the screen tilt like dell monitors?

the stands are very basic. tilt is at min unless you purchase the pivot version of the crossover i think.

else just grab some other vesa monitor stand and you're more than good to go.

Hmm, but on ebay i don't think there is a model that allows pivoting right?

Another dilemma is the power brick, it seems to be one of the main reason why the monitor stop working because the power brick just goes off easily.

Any feedback on that?

Thanks

I'm not exactly sure about the power brick problems that people are facing. Having used mine for months, I've had no problems whatsoever with the power brick. It simply works out of the box (though you will have to use your own 3 pin power cable).

If your power brick do goes off, I believe there are replacements available on eBay as well. They aren't cheap nor expensive but it definitely is a PITA should you need to purchase one. I did see people buy other kinds of power bricks when I did my research months back. There may be even more solutions to this problem now.

For pivoting, check the Crossover -P models (IIRC), they are the pivot model.

Reading this thread, it sounds like a big risk buying these cheap Korean monitors.

When buying items without warranty is always a risk. I must say that the way this eBay sellers handles issue are consider not bad. At least they don't give you a dead end but offer alternative to resolve the issue.

I was contemplating to get this awhile back vs Dell U2711 @ $849. My wallet made the decision, all the more so since I am buying 2 set. I reckoned that being about half the price of Dell ... if this monitor can last me say 2yrs (vs Dell's 3yrs warranty) ... ok liao.

If this 2 monitor that I got last 3yrs or more ... earn liao. I did my research and found that alot of people all over the world is buying this. Most people don't come back and post "Hey all .. I got the monitor and it is good".

But if somebody has an issue .... that person will post anywhere and everywhere to get help. So the "impression" is multiplied.

In conclusion ... be happy and vote with your $$.

Cheers! =)

Yes ... the one I got is pivot. Check out this one :

CROSSOVER 27Q LED-P 27" DVI Computer Monitor (QHD) 2560X1440 16:9 Pivot | eBay

But do NOT expect the pivot to be like Dell's pivot ... because they are not. I was abit disappointed with the quality of the pivot but it is not a "deal breaker" since I don't need to move the monitor much.

If you need to turn the monitor ... landscape ... portrait ... swirl left .... right ... tilt up and down ... then it'll probably pissed you off more.

Shall we gather a list of people who is buying then we buy together and ask for discount? Then get seller to ship individual seperately? Hmm kind of keen
