[Monitor] Crossover IPS LCD 27 inches

just received the replacement pcb today

the board and shipping is free. but ive paid 95usd to AW previously before i proposed about asking the manufacturer about the led driver board. so yeah.. gonna ask them to return it back. waste paypal fees

edit: i have added a 12cm fan behind to provide cooling for the monitor. dafaq

So that means you didn't send the monitor back right? Did they charge for the PCB? The picture above is the LED driver board?

hehe. Nice. I tried sticking my fan flush against the monitor but it made this annoying hum. Try also using a low noise adapter (these come standard with most decent after market hsf) cause quite honestly the fan doesn't require a full speed 120mm fan.

If you want to reduce / avoid the "hum" ... could you try putting some kind of thicker (1-2mm) double sided tape between the fan and the monitor to buffer the vibration.

Glad to hear it turns out well for u.. just a headsup, as far as i know, the capxon capacitors on the replaced led driver board are not really 'healthy' especially in hot environment.. so try to keep the monitor as cool as possible..

So how did you get them to send you the LED driver board? Did you described the problem to them and they just send you the replacement or what?

i emailed them and after a lot of email exchanges abt the problem, i convinced them to ask crossover for the board.

Haha.. not much harmful to humans lah, unless u consider stress of having a faulty monitor as harmful.. hehehe.. Not Healthy means generally capxon caps are known caps to be of low
quality.. have been replacing them on most faulty monitors that i have done.. but hopefully yours are not among them la..

just curious - is there any way to prevent dust from sticking onto the glossy stand of the crossover monitor? it's a literal dust magnet. was just wondering if there's any spray/solution i can use to make it slightly more dust-resistant.

You should check out their products.

They have a couple of models with HDMI, VGA, display ports. But resolution I think cannot go lower though.

Anybody bought or currently successfully connecting a laptop Display Port to a Crossover 2720MDP LED Gold??

Please share some feedback as I have already placed and order on Qoo10 but emails from Accessories Whole just inform that it will not work on any laptops?? Are they trying to safeguard themselves from any possible connectivity trouble or it really does not work??

Well, basically, that warning is a template for all the Korean LG OEM monitor he sells. Basically what laptop with integrated graphics can't do is analog to digital signal conversion. The gold variant has VGA input, so essentially it can convert analog to digital. I don't think he really know what he is selling.

I just whack the shimian model. not worth to pay 40%, $170 more for extra inputs. At $517, might as well get Dell liao.
