Monitor down

I need some advice. My PC monitor suddenly turns off while I'm working on something, however the CPU is still running. I on and off the electrical switch for the monitor a few times before it comes back alive again. But not for long, about 2 minutes later, it off again. Tried changing to a new power cord but problem still persist.

Any kind person here can advice me what's wrong? I have thought it could be the graphic card but while it is still on i managed to check that the card is working properly under the Device manager tab.

most likely faulty monitor, how long have ur monitor been around?

A few possibilities but most likely candidate would be the capacitors on your monitor's power supply. I suggest you first test the PC with a different monitor to determine whether the problem is indeed with the monitor.
