Monitor flashing issue.

The multi plug is fine. It's the port/source that not fine. Old unit liao :/ cannot do anything about it. Unless parents decide to renovate but that shall remain to see how it goes as I have no say in that :/

The current multi plug is plug into another port/source. No issue. No interference, be it the monitor or to my daily life. Shall remain it there. Haha

Your problematic port/source, which is called 13A socket outlet (either single or double gang), can be replaced easily (~$15 for a single outlet). 2 screws in front, 3 wires behind. Switch off the supply first before work. Don't have to wait for reno. If you have no confidence of doing it by yourself, engage an electrician to do it for you. Market rate is ~$70 per point.

Actually, im having the same issue as you now. Whenever my bro turns off his bedroom's lights or the living room's light, my monitor will flicker a little. If the iron is used, my monitor will go blank and then turn back on.

I think my house internal wiring got problem liao... House older than me... lol.

Motherboard, GPU not compatible with new os. Or try replace with another spare GPU, low end also can as long can work with new os.

Need to redo wiring of the house. Lol. At least for me, out of the two sockets, only 1 is affected while the other is fine.

Update: Issue solved.

As shadow84 suggested, I change the multi plug source to another port and the monitor no longer flashes. Be it cold boot or after warm up. The initial power source is not clean. Even when usage is low and I'm sure the output is not even nearing the power limit, the interference from that port would make my monitor flash as my pc draw quite a bit of power as well, making it more prone to interference. Now my multi plug power come from another plug/source, the problem is fixed and no more flashes.

Hmm...any symptom when you use the electrical kettle? This is quite difficult to pin point unless you have the knowledge. Even then, it will be quite tedious. Can get an electrician to do it for you. But then, like you said, the wiring is older than you, the electrician will most likely recommend rewiring (can make more money), haha.

Maybe you can check with neighbours to see if they have the same problem. If so the problem can be from outside your unit.
