Monitor for reading?

[Shadowly]

I am looking for a IPS monitor that is at least 1080p from 20~24 inches that is suitable for reading text. My current monitor's text display is not sharp enough to read comfortably. I would also do some gaming on the computer. Any recs? Thank you.

Budget is under $500!

I'm using a GTX970 with i5-4690.

Get something with a 'papermode' feature

[Artermiz]

sometimes it not the monitor but the colour settings.
try playing around colour settings or try f.lux

Not sharp enough? You need more pixel density.

Maybe the Dell U2515H... A little over budget but gets the job done.
