monitor + gpu recommendation

Hi experts,

I wanna buy a monitor + GPU to play many past AAA games like witcher3 tomb raider gta5 etc and future titles like Anthem.

My bro actually got the Acer predator dk what series but it's 34" curved screen size is too big and straining for my eyes. So I am looking at LG free sync 29" ultra wide curved monitor 2560x1080 res.

Unfortunately amd Vega 56 64 like damn expensive and seemed to be super low stock ? No one is talking about this card also, not sure why like tt. So I decided for gpu I should get the gtx1080.

So now problem = if I get lg monitor + 1080 it cannot free or g sync

If buy lg free sync monitor = no good gpu to pair with.

If buy gtx 1080 = no suitable monitor to pair with?

Please advise me

use v sync... google.. nvidia got other feature to stablize between non gsync monitor and gpu

mayb ur bros' screen is set too bright for ur eyes
see if u can borrow & test with brightness set lower (eg. 36-40, or even lower?)
at 1st will immediately look too dim after adjusting down
then 10-15min later will look ok
then test if still got eye strain

Hmm i think is not about the brightness but the size of the screen. I feel that it will be better if placed further away or if i used a smaller inch one like perhaps 29". However i am worried if too far away the 'immense' feeling created from the ultrawide curved screen will fade. Likewise, the curve of a 29" have little curves. I will sneak into my bro's room and do some testing tmr.

I play my games in 1440p, i find 1440p to be the sweetspot for me

for monitor im using LG 27UD68W with no g-sync
No problems when playing at 4 or 2k resolution
