My LCD monitor have been connected to my desktop all these while. Over the past few months, every now and then when I boot up my desktop. my monitor screen will be blank with this message 'analog power saving mode'. I usually need to plug in and out my vga cable more than 30mins before the screen will have anything.
This problem happened again 2 days back. Out of desperation, I used my laptop and connect the monitor to it and surprisingly it works.
Just for info, all along(the last 2 years) I have been connecting my VGA cable via this white thing(see 1st pic below) to a port(see 2nd pic below) in my desktop. If I connect via the normal VGA port, the image would not be that clear, actually pretty obvious its a bit blur.

Two questions :
1. Is the issue due to my video card spoilt?
2. or could it be the vga port in my desktop thats spoilt? I tried both the VGA port and the other port(2nd pic above) of my desktop and still nothing on my monitor and with this message ''analog power saving mode' coming out.
