Monitor keep flickering and no signal

Hi all, out of sudden my pc monitor flickering and no signal. it manage to boot in but still keep flickering until the monitor no signal

im guessing is it because of faulty psu? - loud psu fan noise

also, my whole desktop fan seems to be always in full rpm even i adjusted in the bios to be silent mode...

any help?

maybe u state which monitor and gpu u using?
connection hdmi? VGA? DP?
next have u tried changing the cables or plug in other port to test if its really which issues? (try bioth your gpu and monitor.

Monitor: Acer Predator XB271hu
GPU: GTX 1080 ti
Connection via dp cable
Try different cable and switch port still the same.
Now I can't even boot coz the monitor is just blank

if can, have it tested on another monitor? or maybe use a laptop or another pc to test the monitor and gpu?
did a google search that there are quite a few have this issues with GTX 1080 with the ACER XB271HU (https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/606580/xb271hu-flickering-and-pixel-distortion)

but if your monitor is under warranty can consider sending in for repair if tested is your monitor issues.

1) monitor test - Do a simple test by turning on monitor without signal cable ang go into the monitor setting menu, see if still working properly ?
2) PSU test - remove gpu and start computer and check if psu and system fans still run at full rpm ?

I tested both dp and HDMI cable on another montior and it's the same no signal. Sometime it works. Sometime just no signal. Sometime it's flickering and then no signal. Sian

How old and make/model of psu ? I suspect a tired psu that can't provide enough juice because monitor is working, the fans are unusual loud and graphics display work occasionally.

Yea I suspect psu too. It's just around 3 years. EVGA 550. Before this the psu emitting clicking sound too. But not really sure so Im asking around if spoilt psu will cause issues like this. Mostly said it's ram / gpu

If psu got warranty try exchanging. if no warranty buy replacement.

If still happens then change gpu

Solved for now. It's ram stick. Took it out and clean it and ok liao
