Good Morning,

Recently I have been having problems with my monitor. In the midst of using the PC, it will suddenly go black and the indicator light will keep blinking. I highly doubt that it went into sleep mode, as it has been deactivated. Restarting does not rectify it. I will have to switch off the main power switch, disconnect and reconnect all the cables to have it back on (along with PC). Sometimes, there is no display at all when switching on the PC. Only the blinking light.

Would appreciate any help with this. I have a feeling it could be either the VGA or power cable problem.

Thank you

Most likely your GPU is overheating. Check the temperature of your GPU.

Download HWinfo and see.

yep agree with the possible gpu overheating. It happened to my 5770. Same symptoms until i place 2 120mm fans to cool it.
