Hi,

I am using a monitor to be used for my extended display of my laptop. This morning, nothing is displayed on the monitor. Power is working.

1. I tried changing a few HDMI cable.
2. I changed to other working monitor.

The above still dont work.

Am i right to say that the HDMI outlet for my laptop is not working? Is there anything i can check to confirm the error?

Hook on the monitor to PC or another laptop

Connect the hdmi from the laptop to your tv and see if it works

Ok... this may sound weird, but if it's not the HDMI cable issue then...

Test with a different power cable or adapter even if the monitor seem to be able to power on.

I once had an old Samsung monitor that couldn't display any output even though it seem to power on. I asked my techie friend to help test. Turn out the power adapter uplorry halfway, can pump enough volts to the monitor to make it seem to power up, but it was less than the 14V 3A as specified. So can on, but can't process images and display them.

If not spoilt, sometimes just need to press the display FN key to turn external display on or off

WIN key + P, and choose 'extend' or 'duplicate'.

Go to 'display settings', click 'identify screens', see detected or not.

DELL 2022 should have USB-C, use a USB-C to HDMI cable try.

Change HDMI cable

Test another device like Nintendo Switch or PS5 HDMI to the monitor see if got output.

Change power cable.

If monitor can on, press the display button and try to 'brighten' it.
