monitor or video card problem?

Hi guys,

I am having a problem here. My monitor has been on for few weeks already. Sometimes can connect sometimes cannot. Today totally cannot connect already. Can anyone tell me how to check which is spoil? And btw my motherboard does not have a vga port.

I used my friend laptop to connect to my monitor is working fine. So probably is my video card right?

How do you do that? My motherboard does not have vga port. Sorry I am a computer noob

looks like that you will have to get a new video card. Share your computer specs please.

oh your monitor have no vga port but your mobo only have dvi or hdmi ports?

my monitor have only hdmi and dvi. and my mobo does have any any of those ports

huh typo? does not have or does have? if have then can try lo if no have then no choice le can only confirm through your friend laptop...

sorry, mobo dont have any video input port. i tired on my friend laptop to connect to my monitor it works. but my cpu it does not work.

hmmm liddat no choice bring your gpu down to GS shop testing lo or you want can lend gpu from friends.

yepp most probably but monitor mostly shouldn't be an issue unless you very rough with it. i got 3 monitors, one 11 years, one 4 years and another one 7 years all 3 still working fine leh. For monitor most common issue would be either only port spoil, or dead pixel ba

okay. mine monitor only 2 or 3 years old
